Ever had Earl Grey Tea?! Then you have likely had Bergamot! A citrus fruit, grown in Italy and receiving its name from the city of "Bergamo" in Lombardy, Italy...Bergamot is the oil that flavors Early Grey Tea. We've all heard about Essential Oils and the great things they do for us and their many uses. It's time we talk safety, especially when it comes to the little ones. Yes, essential oils are natural and come from flowers, herbs, fruits, seeds, wood etc but, even though they're natural, they are still very strong and highly concentrated chemicals that should always be used with caution. All oils are NOT created equally and should only be introduced to children at certain ages. Here is a helpful infographic with the oils listed and safe ages to use them.
NOTE: Always patch test when using a new oil/product before applying to large areas of the body.

-Lighten skin by removing dead skin cells to create a clear fresh complexion.
-Soften cuticles to restore nail health
Lemon Essential Oil is featured in Buttered Roots Healing Body Butter and the Lemon Kisses Lip Balm.
Lavender Essential Oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils today. This oil is extracted from the leaves of the Lavender via steam distillation. With so many benefits, it's hard not use it in everything. My favorite way to use it is in my Diffuser for headaches or when I'm sick. It is also featured in all of Buttered Roots products!⠀
