What is it good for?
Everyone loves lemon in their tea but do you know about Lemon Essential Oil?! It is cold pressed from the peel of the lemon. Added to the properties above, it can also
-Soften the hardened skin of calluses and bunions.
-Lighten skin by removing dead skin cells to create a clear fresh complexion.
-Soften cuticles to restore nail health
Lemon Essential Oil is featured in Buttered Roots Healing Body Butter and the Lemon Kisses Lip Balm.
Lavender Essential Oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils today. This oil is extracted from the leaves of the Lavender via steam distillation. With so many benefits, it's hard not use it in everything. My favorite way to use it is in my Diffuser for headaches or when I'm sick. It is also featured in all of Buttered Roots products!⠀
Shea Butter is extracted from the nuts from the Shea Tree. The Shea Tree naturally grows in the dry Savannah region of West Africa, and the area of Northern Uganda, and Southern Sudan. The nuts are washed, crushed, roasted, purified, boiled, then the fat and oil is separated, and the oil then solidifies into what we know and love as Shea Butter! When using Grade A Unrefined Shea Butter, it should be beige to yellow in color and has smoky/nutty aroma. Pure white Shea Butter is refined and stripped of its benefits. Here at Buttered Roots we ensure that we only use quality Grade A Shea Butter that is ethically sourced.
Shea Butter is used all of Buttered Roots Body Butters!
Apricot Kernel Oil is a Carrier Oil, pressed from the seeds of Apricots. This is a non-irritating oil that has several skin benefits as well as hair. It quickly absorbs deep into the skin providing moisture and nourishment. It is a safe alternative for those allergic to nut based oils like Almond Oil. Apricot Kernel Oil is one of the star ingredients in Buttered Roots Daily Moisturizer, that will give your skin an all day hydration.
